Nestled in a quiet corner of the old town, this hotel offers an authentic experience of ancient China. the venue is tastefully decorated with upscale furnishings, providing a luxurious and comfortable stay. the amenities are top-notch, including plush bathrobes, slippers, and exclusive private facilities. the staff excels at their service, offering personalized recommendations and ensuring a seamless experience. the restaurant offers delectable cuisine, serving both local and international delicacies, while the outdoor dining area is perfect for a romantic night out.
Although the hotel boasts a 5-star rating, the maintenance of the facilities needs improvement. One minor issue I encountered was a complication with the lighting system in the bathroom, which affected my sleep.

1. Vicinity to the centre. Actually it is in the centre. 2. Nice Lijiang-type architecture with chinese patios - nice
1. level of English among the staff. The recpetion coud not deal properly with problems as they simply could not understand or express themselves.

Great staff! They offered free airport shuttle and were always willing to help. the hotel had a lovely courtyard with comfortable seats. Location was convenient - close to bus stops and many restaurants.
The breakfast was disappointing. Not many options and no international choices.

The bellman (Tom) was great. Even came all the way to the taxi stand and took our bags to the hotel. He even carried the big ones because he didn't want to damage the wheels on the cobblestone. We also got an unexplained room upgrade to an unbelievably large room. But peeking into other rooms, it seemed like all were quite nice. The layout is a bit complicated and after midnight, certain entry doors are locked up but it is not such a big problem. Overall, I highly recommend it.
The windows are originally open to the street and courtyards. They are now covered by a relatively thin sheet of glass so sounds from the street as well as the courtyard easily infiltrated the room. We are heavy sleepers so it wasn't much of a problem for us, but light sleepers may find that problematic. I also felt like the bed could have been a bit less squeaky. It seemed like the smallest movements caused the bed to creak. Also, the front staff speak hardly any English so I was lucky to have someone with me who could speak Chinese fluently.

Located in a tranquil back alley within the amazing old town, this hotel is a serene and relaxing place to rest. the rooms are lovely, vast and well decorated, with all the amenities you expect from a top-end hotel, including nice bathrobes, slippers, bathtub. the hotel staff is very helpful and professional and can also organize free pickup and drop off to the airport and the railway station upon request.
The communication can be a challenge as some employees couldn't speak good English.

This was a vision of paradise in China. A beautiful hotel in the old style in a World heritage site. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, very large, well-appointed room (suite) at a very low rate, close to the entrance to the old city. Clean, comfortable, memorable. It was like visiting Shangri-la, the fabulaous place in the novel, not the fabricated one down the road. Highly recommended for tourists with some Chinese facility.
Nothing but praise for this place, but the level of English among the staff is low and many are from outside the region, so they are not very helpful at offering advice on what to see, where to go or how to get there. Tourists should know that taxis may not know how to find the place; they can only be told to drop passengers off at one of the entrances to the old city near another large hotel. From then on, the tourist must carry/drag his luggage over the quaint cobblestone streets. If the hotel knows the tourists are coming someone will direct them/their taxi driver to the right entrance and a porter with a small vehicle will help with the luggage. Best to travel light! The experience in Lijiang will be a memorable one.

I loved how this hotel was located in a quiet part of the old town, away from the noisy music bars, yet still within walking distance to attractions. The hotel facilities were great, with beautiful courtyards and well-decorated rooms. Additionally, the staff was very helpful and could arrange transportation.
Nothing, all excellent.

Everything is to like about Lijiang Yibang Residence! Rooms are beautiful with comfortable bed and amenities. Breakfast is lovely and varied - we often skipped lunch as we had so much good food in the morning. Staff is very professional and friendly and of course, the buildings are great, with lots of inner courtyards.

The hotel's location is ideal, situated close to many restaurants and bus stops for exploring the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful with organizing transportation. We particularly enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the lovely, spacious rooms. the hotel offers a foot bath with fresh salts for a relaxing end to the day.
The breakfast could use some improvement. While they serve jam and butter, there were no utensils provided to spread them with.

Nice quiet environment. The restaurant at the hotel offer fair value for money and quality of food compared to the other restaurant at the old town center. I lunch and dinner there.
Generally I am quite happy with exception to the complicated lighting control systems in the room. It is either too bright or too dark. They need to sort out their electrical system thou!
